Recently, a series of images and videos recording the first Lynk & Co 08s appearing at Tan Vu port ( Hai Phong ) were quickly shared widely on social networking platforms.
The batch of cars recorded has popular colors such as black, white, blue and bronze brown. With the appearance of two different wheel designs, it shows that Lynk & Co 08 will be sold in two versions.
According to the sales consultant, Lynk & Co 08 has an estimated price of 1.4 billion VND for the standard version and about 1.5 billion VND for the premium version, expected to be delivered in July. However, the price and version information have not been officially confirmed by the distributor.
Lynk & Co 08 belongs to the crossover line, the car has overall dimensions of length x width x height of 4,820 mm, width 1,915 mm, height 1,685 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,848 mm. With these parameters, the car can compete directly with rivals in the same segment such as Mazda CX-8, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento or Skoda Kodiaq. Previously, Lynk & Co distributed model 09 - E-size CUV line in the Vietnamese market.
Lynk & Co 08 has a unique exterior design, creating its own mark in the D-size CUV segment in Vietnam. The C-pillar is designed to be low and sleek in coupe style, while the front of the car uses rounded, seamless lines following the modern electric vehicle design trend. In contrast to the soft front, the rear of the car is designed with sharper, stronger angles.
Although it has the same size as the 7-seat SUV models, the Lynk & Co 08 only has 5 seats. The interior stands out with a 15.4-inch touch screen, combined with a 12.3-inch digital clock cluster and a super-wide HUD display.
The cabin space is designed in a minimalist style, with almost no physical buttons. The seats are integrated with massage functions, contributing to a high-class experience for users.
Some sources say the car will be equipped with a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a rare feature in the under 2 billion VND segment.
Currently, the detailed engine configuration and equipment of Lynk & Co 08 for the Vietnamese market have not been announced. However, in the Chinese market, this model only has a single plug-in hybrid powertrain option (PHEV), combining a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine (161 horsepower) with two electric motors with a total capacity of more than 420 horsepower, using a 39.6 kWh battery.
The car can operate purely on electricity for up to 205 km – a number that is outstanding compared to competitors in the same segment. If you count both gasoline and electric power, the total distance that the car can reach is up to 1,400 km.
The car is developed on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform - the chassis currently used by the Volvo XC60, promising to bring stable and solid operation.
In terms of safety, Lynk & Co 08 will likely be equipped with a level 2 ADAS system, supporting semi-autonomous driving in some specific traffic situations. In addition, there is a 540-degree panoramic camera, providing a superior viewing angle compared to the traditional 360 camera system, helping the driver easily observe and handle situations in narrow urban environments.
