To prepare for the match against Vietnam in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, coach Peter Cklamovski has called up 38 players. Many Malaysian faces have gathered in the training camp since May 19.
According to the latest information, the Australian coach has decided to eliminate 7 players to reduce the list to 31 people. These are all players playing domestically and are quite young. They were called up to the national team mainly to gain experience when training with key stars.

Since May 25, Malaysia has welcomed reinforcements in the second training session, including Syihan Hazmi, Corbin-Ong, Matthew Davies, Shahrul Saad, Junior Eldstal, Afiq Fazail, Romel Morales and Endrick Dos Santos (currently playing for Ho Chi Minh City Club in V-League).
Speaking about Malaysia's preparations in phase 1, coach Peter Cklamovski said: "We have started entering phase 2 of the training camp. Everything has gone quite smoothly in phase 1. We have focused on shaping the tactics and building the team's identity both on and off the field, to ensure we can put on a good show for the fans.
My main goal is to improve the squad. Each player needs to understand the coach's philosophy. In fact, many players have just had a four-week break after the Malaysian national championship ended."

Coach Peter Cklamovski revealed that Endrick Dos Santos has not been able to train fully because he has only trained for one day and needs time to recover his fitness.
Two bright faces of Malaysia in this training session are Rodrigo Holgado (playing in Colombia) and Gabriel Palmeiro (playing in Spain). They are both facing the possibility of debuting for the "Tigers".
Speaking about these two high-class players, the Australian coach said: "Gabriel is in good shape after playing a number of matches in Europe. He has shown his commitment to Malaysian football and has performed well since starting training with the team on May 21. Meanwhile, it is still too early to talk about Rodrigo. We will give him time to adapt to the team."
The match between Vietnam and Malaysia will take place on June 10 at Bukit Jalil Stadium. The winner of this match will have a great chance to win a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup.
