In the ceremony to honor Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung organized by the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University) on the evening of July 28, a very special performance by the quartet of doctors took place.

Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh played the guitar and sang the song "The Exciting Youth" with three doctors, Tran Nam Dung, Nguyen Thanh Hung, and Dao Duy Nam - a Russian song where all four doctors studied.
In the sound of music and singing, they seem to relive the exciting and enthusiastic moments of youth.
At the ceremony, the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University also presented commemorative medals to Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung.
Dr. Tran Nam Dung, Vice Principal of the Gifted High School, said that in addition to his professional work, Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh is very good at sports , from soccer, table tennis to swimming. He is also a famous guitarist of the MGU (Moscow State University) mechanical mathematics department.

Mr. Tran Nam Dung said that teacher Le Ba Khanh Trinh left his position as head of the school's math group last March and teacher Hung will leave his position as head of the IT group next August and retire.
However, the two teachers will continue to accompany the Gifted High School as school advisors in the work of nurturing excellent students.
During his time working at the school, as the head of the math team, Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh led the school's math team to win 171 national excellent student awards, 19 international Olympic medals including 5 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 3 bronze medals and 2 honorary certificates.

As for Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, during his time as Vice Principal of the Gifted High School (2007-2018), he contributed to the school's development with nearly 540 national awards and 27 regional and international Olympic medals.
As the head of the IT team, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung led the team to win 155 national awards and 17 regional and international Olympic medals.
Le Ba Khanh Trinh, born in 1962, is known as the "golden boy of Vietnamese mathematics".
In 1979, at the age of 17, while a student in the specialized math class at Quoc Hoc Hue School, he was selected to participate in the International Math Olympiad in London, England, with 4 other students. He won first prize with a perfect score of 40/40, and also won a special prize for his unique solution.
