Masan Consumer, Vinamilk distribute thousands of billions of dong in dividends

Masan Consumer Corporation (Masan Consumer - stock code MCH) announced the Board of Directors' resolution approving the 2024 cash dividend advance at a rate of 95%, equivalent to shareholders owning 1 share will receive 9,500 VND. The last registration date is December 20 and the expected payment date is December 30.

Currently, Masan Consumer has nearly 725 million outstanding shares, so the amount expected to be paid to shareholders is about VND 6,884 billion. MasanConsumerHoldings Company Limited (a subsidiary of Masan Group) is the largest shareholder, owning 92.6% of shares in Masan Consumer. It is estimated that this unit can receive VND 6,370 billion in dividends. Previously, Masan Consumer paid 2023 dividends in cash at a rate of 268% (VND 26,800/share) to shareholders, equivalent to spending about VND 19,000 billion to pay dividends.

Another "big guy" on the stock market, Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk - stock code VNM), also announced the Board of Directors' resolution to pay the second cash dividend in 2024 at a rate of 5% (VND500/share). With more than 2 billion shares in circulation, Vinamilk will spend about VND1,045 billion to pay dividends to shareholders. The last registration date is December 27 and the expected payment date is February 28. Last October, Vinamilk paid the first cash dividend in 2024 at a rate of 15% (VND1,500/share).

Similarly, Vicostone Joint Stock Company (stock code VCS) announced that December 13 is the last registration date to receive the second cash dividend payment in 2024 at a rate of 20%, equivalent to shareholders owning 1 share receiving 2,000 VND. The expected payment date is December 23. With 160 million outstanding shares, the company will spend 320 billion VND to pay dividends. In recent years, Vicostone has regularly paid cash dividends to shareholders at a rate of 40 - 60%/year.

Or Saigon Cargo Services Corporation (stock code SCS) has just announced the Board of Directors' resolution on closing the list of shareholders to exercise the right to receive the first cash dividend of 2024 at a rate of 30% (1 share receives 3,000 VND). The last registration date is December 24 and the expected payment date is January 8, 2025. The company currently has nearly 95 million common shares in circulation, accordingly the amount needed to be spent in this period is nearly 285 billion VND. Gemadept is the largest shareholder holding nearly 36% of capital and will receive more than 102 billion VND.

Shareholders of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (stock code DHG) announced that they will implement a plan to pay interim cash dividends in 2024 at a rate of 40% (1 share receives 4,000 VND). The last registration date is December 25 and the expected payment date is February 14, 2025. With more than 130 million shares in circulation, the company will spend a total of up to 523 billion VND to pay dividends. According to the latest shareholder structure, parent company Taisho Pharmaceutical, which owns more than 51% of the capital, will receive about 267 billion VND; State Capital Investment Corporation, which holds more than 43% of the shares, will receive more than 226 billion VND...
