Masan Consumer and Vinamilk distribute thousands of billions of dong in dividends.

Masan Consumer Corporation (Masan Consumer - stock code MCH) announced a resolution of the Board of Directors approving the interim dividend payment for 2024 in cash at a rate of 95%, meaning shareholders owning one share will receive VND 9,500. The record date is December 20th and the expected payment date is December 30th.

Masan Consumer currently has nearly 725 million shares outstanding, therefore the projected dividend payout to shareholders is approximately VND 6,884 billion. MasanConsumerHoldings Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Masan Group) is the largest shareholder, owning 92.6% of Masan Consumer's shares. It is estimated that this entity could receive VND 6,370 billion in dividends. Previously, Masan Consumer paid out a cash dividend for 2023 at a rate of 268% (VND 26,800 per share), equivalent to approximately VND 19,000 billion in dividend payments.

Masan Consumer, Vinamilk , and several other companies are distributing billions of dong in dividends in the last month of the year.

Another major player on the stock market, Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk - stock code VNM), also announced a resolution from its Board of Directors to pay an interim cash dividend for the second quarter of 2024 at a rate of 5% (500 VND/share). With over 2 billion shares outstanding, Vinamilk will spend approximately 1,045 billion VND to pay dividends to shareholders. The record date is December 27th and the expected payment date is February 28th. In October, Vinamilk already paid an interim dividend for the first quarter of 2024 at a rate of 15% in cash (1,500 VND/share).

Similarly, Vicostone Joint Stock Company (stock code VCS) announced that December 13th is the last registration date to receive the second interim cash dividend for 2024 at a rate of 20%, meaning shareholders owning one share will receive 2,000 VND. The expected payment date is December 23rd. With 160 million shares outstanding, the company will spend 320 billion VND to pay dividends. In recent years, Vicostone has regularly paid cash dividends to shareholders at a rate of 40-60% per year.

Saigon Cargo Services Joint Stock Company (stock code SCS) has just announced a resolution of the Board of Directors regarding the closing of the shareholder list to exercise the right to receive the first interim dividend for 2024 in cash at a rate of 30% (3,000 VND per share). The last registration date is December 24th and the expected payment date is January 8th, 2025. The company currently has nearly 95 million common shares outstanding, therefore the amount to be disbursed in this round is nearly 285 billion VND. Gemadept, the largest shareholder holding nearly 36% of the capital, will receive over 102 billion VND.

Shareholders of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (stock code DHG) have announced a plan to pay an interim cash dividend for 2024 at a rate of 40% (4,000 VND per share). The record date is December 25th, and the expected payment date is February 14th, 2025. With over 130 million shares outstanding, the company will spend a total of 523 billion VND on dividends. According to the latest shareholder structure, the parent company, Taisho Pharmaceutical, which owns over 51% of the capital, will receive approximately 267 billion VND; the State Capital Investment and Business Corporation, holding over 43% of the shares, will receive over 226 billion VND...
