At the meeting, Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, said that in the context of monks, nuns, and Buddhists of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha nationwide, especially in the capital Hanoi, they are excitedly celebrating the Buddha's birthday; the return of the Buddhists' days also coincides with the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, making the atmosphere of Buddha's birthday even more meaningful. These actions of the Hanoi Fatherland Front have demonstrated the meaning of religion and life, following the motto of religion, nation, and socialism of the Vietnamese people.
During this Buddha's birthday season, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has implemented many key activities such as mobilizing monks, nuns, and Buddhists to participate in traffic safety, supporting the construction of Great Solidarity houses for the poor in Dien Bien province... These results were achieved thanks to the solidarity of monks, nuns, and Buddhists, and the close coordination and direction between the Central Front and the Fronts of provinces and cities across the country.
