MB Bank appoints Mr. Pham Nhu Anh as General Director

In Official Dispatch No. 3689 dated May 17, 2023, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced the approval of the proposed personnel appointment to the position of General Director of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) for Mr. Pham Nhu Anh.

Mr. Anh is currently the Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board of MB. The Board of Directors of MB is carrying out procedures to appoint Mr. Pham Nhu Anh as General Director according to regulations.

Mr. Pham Nhu Anh, born in 1980, is a young leader but has extensive experience in the field of finance and banking with nearly 20 years of work experience. He is a bachelor of economics majoring in Business Administration from the University of Economics and Business Administration (University of Danang). Later, he studied and graduated with a master's degree in Business Administration from the UBI Institute of Business Administration (Belgium).

During his time at MB, Mr. Anh has held many highly specialized positions such as: Director of Binh Dinh Branch, Director of North Saigon Branch, Director of Large Customer Block (CIB) and has successfully completed assigned tasks for many consecutive years.

In particular, in the period of 2019-2020, the CIB block under Mr. Anh's charge has always been the business block with leading performance and results, exceeding the plan according to MB's report.

Previously, on April 12, 2023, MB's Board of Directors also assigned Mr. Anh the position of Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board, assuming the powers and duties of the General Director.

Mr. Anh's appointment as the new General Director of MB shows the trust of the bank's Board of Directors in the young leadership. With solid expertise and extensive experience in the field of finance and banking, Mr. Pham Nhu Anh is expected to lead MB to complete its strategic goals for the period 2022-2026, contributing to MB's goal of "Top 3 in the market in terms of efficiency, aiming for the Top in Asia", with the vision of "Becoming a digital enterprise, a leading financial group".
