The Spanish club confirmed that the Frenchman had left hospital and returned to Real Madrid's training ground. "Mbappe will continue to receive specific medical treatment and will gradually return to team activity," Real Madrid said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, the Spanish Royal team said Mbappe had been admitted to hospital to "undergo a series of tests and follow the appropriate treatment" after suffering from acute gastroenteritis. A club source told Reuters that Mbappe had been isolated from his teammates since Tuesday (June 17) before being admitted to hospital the following day.

Due to his health condition, Mbappe missed Real Madrid's opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup against Al Hilal, which ended in a 1-1 draw in the early hours of June 19. He is also not expected to participate in any of the group stage matches of the tournament.
Coach Xabi Alonso has hinted that Mbappe could feature in Real Madrid's next match, against Mexican side Pachuca in the early hours of the morning in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mbappe scored 43 goals in all competitions last season, in a disappointing campaign for Madrid, who failed to win any major trophies in the Frenchman's first season at the club. However, the French striker's importance to the "White Vultures" squad is undeniable.
In Mbappe's absence, youngster Gonzalo Garcia started at centre-forward and scored the opener, before Ruben Neves levelled for Al Hilal at 1-1. Midfielder Federico Valverde had a chance to win it for Madrid in stoppage time but his penalty was saved by goalkeeper Yassine Bono.
Madrid are aiming to win the FIFA Club World Cup, which would be Alonso's first trophy under the club, after also signing defenders Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
