According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, from May 31st to June 2nd, the northern region will experience relatively pleasant weather, with sunny days, localized heat waves reaching 34-35 degrees Celsius, and little rain in the evening and at night.

From approximately June 3rd to 5th, due to the influence of a hot low-pressure area in the West combined with the Foehn wind effect, a widespread heatwave will occur in the midland and lowland areas of Northern Vietnam, with maximum temperatures ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius.

The actual outdoor temperature may be 2-4 degrees Celsius higher, especially in the inner city of Hanoi, due to the urban heat island effect.

From June 5th to 9th, the northern region will maintain sunny weather, with localized heat waves reaching 34-35 degrees Celsius. In the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall.

In central Vietnam, the hot weather arrived earlier, around June 2nd, with widespread heatwaves lasting for several days afterward.

The upcoming heatwave will not be too intense, with temperatures ranging from 36-38 degrees Celsius.

However, according to experts, the intensity of this heatwave is not as severe as the recent one, with maximum temperatures reaching 36-38 degrees Celsius. Specifically, in the area from the former Binh Dinh to the former Binh Thuan provinces, scattered thunderstorms are expected in the late afternoon and evening on June 2nd and 3rd, with localized heavy rain.

In Lam Dong and Southern Vietnam, from the evening of May 30th to the end of May 31st, scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall, and even very heavy rain in some areas. Rainfall amounts will generally range from 30-80mm, with some areas exceeding 150mm. There is a high risk of heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm in 3 hours, causing localized flooding, flash floods, and landslides. Heavy rainfall will gradually decrease in this area from around June 1st.

Additionally, during the late afternoon and evening of May 30th, the eastern areas of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa, and other parts of the Central Highlands will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall amounts of 15-30mm, and locally heavy rain exceeding 80mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

In the following days, the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam will maintain typical rainy season weather patterns, with sunny days and scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with localized heavy rain. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
