The mountainous and midland areas of Northern Vietnam are also experiencing intense heat today, with maximum temperatures of 37-39 degrees Celsius, and even exceeding 39 degrees Celsius in some places. Minimum temperatures will be 26-28 degrees Celsius. Winds will be from the southwest to south at speeds of 2-3.

The forecast for this evening and tonight is for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the North, with some areas experiencing heavy rain.

Hanoi continues to experience exceptionally intense heat today, with maximum temperatures reaching 39-40 degrees Celsius, and even exceeding 40 degrees in some areas. Minimum temperatures will be 28-30 degrees Celsius. Winds will be from the southwest to south at speeds of 2-3. From late afternoon and tonight, Hanoi will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The meteorological agency specifically noted that the rain, following a series of exceptionally hot days, poses a very high risk of thunderstorms, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

Thanks to thunderstorms, the heatwave in the North has gradually eased. On May 28th, the area will continue to experience hot weather, but with reduced intensity, with maximum temperatures in the plains ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius and in mountainous areas from 33-35 degrees Celsius.

From May 29-31, the weather in the North will be less hot. From June 1, widespread hot weather is likely to return.

From Thanh Hoa to Hue today, there will be few clouds, with intensely hot and exceptionally hot weather during the day, and scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Southwesterly winds will be at level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 28-31 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 38-40 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.

The South Central coastal region will experience intense heat, exceptionally severe in some areas, with scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening and tonight. Tomorrow's forecast indicates continued hot weather in Central Vietnam, with intense heat of 37-39 degrees Celsius from Thanh Hoa to Hue, and temperatures of 35-37 degrees Celsius along the South Central coast.

The Central Highlands will have sunny days, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, and showers and thunderstorms in some areas at night. Ho Chi Minh City will be cloudy today, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, and locally heavy rain in some areas. Southwesterly winds will be at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

The lowest temperature will be 25-27 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 33-35 degrees Celsius.

Forecasts indicate that in the coming days, the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam will continue to experience thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall.
