Sitting on the shore of Thuy Liem Lake, listening to the temple bells echoing on the clear water, watching the fish swimming around makes her not want to leave this place.

In addition to Van Linh Pagoda, Thuy Liem Lake Pilgrimage Center also has Phat Lon Pagoda. This century-old ancient temple is one of the earliest Buddhist structures on Cam Mountain. The temple was built by Taoist Bay Do in 1912, and through the ups and downs of the times, it still exists today, becoming a must-see destination for tourists. In front of Phat Lon Pagoda, straight towards Thuy Liem Lake, visitors will see the Buddha relic tower, which preserves 5 relics invited from Nepal, becoming a sacred spiritual highlight for Buddhists every time they set foot on Cam Mountain.

Director of the Cam Mountain Tourist Area Management Board Dinh Van Chac said that the first Thien Cam Son flower lantern festival - Spring At Ty 2025 has attracted tens of thousands of tourists and local people to participate. From there, it opened a new direction of development in diversifying spiritual activities on the top of Cam Mountain. On the day of the festival, the Organizing Committee also implemented a free vegetarian food program, creating more joy for tourists.

“Although this was the first time the event was held, the number of tourists and Buddhists attending was very large. This confirms the strong attraction of spiritual and cultural activities related to Buddhism on Cam Mountain. Through research, we found that tourists and locals are very supportive of sacred activities such as the lantern festival, because it helps people satisfy their beliefs and work together to do good,” Mr. Dinh Van Chac analyzed.

Talking about the meaning of the Thien Cam Son flower lantern festival, Venerable Thich Ton Quang - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in An Giang province, Abbot of Buu Son Pagoda emphasized that each lighted lamp conveys the wish to blend into the Thuy Liem stream, Thien Cam mountain rocks, That Son cool wind... All blend into one, conveying the energy of praying for national peace and prosperity, natural harmony, and people's prosperity and happiness. Therefore, this event needs to be maintained and developed to meet the good wishes of tourists and Buddhists everywhere whenever they have the opportunity to come to the majestic Thien Cam Son.

In the future, the local government also has the idea of organizing the Thien Cam Son flower lantern festival into a traditional event. Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Nui Cam Commune Nguyen Thi Hue said: "The Thien Cam Son flower lantern festival aims to honor the traditional cultural values of the nation, introduce to tourists the image of the homeland and people in the majestic That Son region. At the same time, it affirms the advantages and potential for developing spiritual tourism of the locality in the general tourism development trend of An Giang province. From this success, the festival promises to be a unique spiritual highlight of Thien Cam Son in the future."

Now, Thien Cam Son has become a “Buddhist land” attracting many tourists to visit and make pilgrimages. In the magical scenery of the pagodas on the high mountains, it seems to lead us to a peaceful and quiet “Buddhist gate”.
