The Lam Kinh Festival in 2025, taking place over three days from October 12th to 14th (corresponding to August 21st to 23rd in the lunar calendar), is a major cultural event of Thanh Hoa province, commemorating the 607th anniversary of the Lam Son Uprising, the 597th anniversary of King Le Thai To's coronation, and the 592nd anniversary of the death of national hero Le Loi.

The festival, organized on a provincial scale at the Dragon Courtyard of the Lam Kinh National Special Monument, consists of two parts: a solemn ceremony and a lively celebration rich in national identity.
The main ceremony will take place on the morning of October 13, 2025 (corresponding to the 22nd day of the 8th lunar month) with the procession of palanquins carrying King Le Thai To and Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai from the temple to the Lam Kinh Palace courtyard. This ritual recreates the atmosphere of the ancient royal court, expressing gratitude to our ancestors.
Simultaneously, incense offerings were made at temples, shrines, and tombs of King Le and the founding meritorious officials in Lam Son and Kien Tho communes and Hac Thanh ward ; as well as in other localities with temples dedicated to the founding meritorious officials of the Le dynasty.
In particular, a ceremony to offer incense in commemoration of Mrs. Hang Dau, who contributed to helping the Lam Son rebels, will be held on the summit of Lam Son mountain on October 14th.
This year's festival promises to offer a unique festive atmosphere with folk games, traditional dances, ethnic art performances, and displays of the cultural and historical values of Lam Kinh, contributing to fostering national pride and promoting the image of Thanh Hoa as "rich in identity and heritage" to a wide range of domestic and international tourists.
