Tien Son Cave is located in the Tram-Me residential area, Phong Nha town, within the service and administrative zone of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. This cave is situated halfway up the mountain, 200 meters from the entrance to Phong Nha Cave, and is part of the Phong Nha cave system. To visit the cave, tourists must climb 583 steps. The cave is located at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level and 120 meters above the Son River, with temperatures ranging from 18-20 degrees Celsius, cool in summer and warm in winter.

According to documents, Tien Son Cave was discovered by local people in April 1935. The very next day, the then Resident Commissioner of Central Vietnam, Gzeffeuil, visited Tien Son Cave, hence its name "Resident Commissioner's Cave". In 1936, the French archaeologist Madeleine Colani visited the cave searching for relics of ancient Vietnamese people but found none. However, Madeleine Colani believed that the scenery of Tien Son Cave resembled a celestial paradise.

In 1999, the British Royal Cave Association conducted a survey of the entire 980.6-meter-long cave, and Quang Binh province opened it to tourism on April 9, 2000. The cave has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors each year.

The Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center announced that during the closure of Tien Son Cave, they renovated the access routes, rest stops, photo spots, and ecological shelters using native climbing plants and flowers. A new "fairyland glass bridge" was also built, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of rice paddies, cornfields, and sugarcane plantations at the foot of the mountain. Visitors can take photos at an altitude of nearly 100 meters above the Son River, making it the first glass bridge in Quang Binh province.

Boat transportation for sightseeing costs 550,000 VND per round trip, with a maximum capacity of 12 people. If visitors choose to visit both Phong Nha and Tien Son caves, the boat fee remains 550,000 VND per trip.

Visitors can explore the cave along a circular route through two separate entrances, each 400 meters long. Deep inside, visitors can admire masterpieces created over tens of millions of years, including uniquely shaped stalactites, the Golden Stream, the Mysterious Cave, and the Love Chamber.
