Recently, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has issued Official Dispatch No. 1356 on launching a peak period of environmental sanitation and waste collection in the entire district. This is an activity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of Tuy Phong district (June 1, 1983 - June 1, 2023) associated with continuing to effectively implement the 2023 theme "Urban beautification, preserving and protecting the environment, green, clean and beautiful landscape" and responding to the 2023 National Tourism Year " Binh Thuan - Green Convergence".
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee directed the District People's Committee, departments, the District Party Committee Office, the District Political Center, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of the district, Party committees of branches and grassroots Party committees to carry out a peak period of environmental sanitation and waste collection from May 25 to May 31, 2023. Thereby, it is necessary to ensure the cleanliness of the management headquarters area, including the hallways, especially the agencies and units in Lien Huong town (along 17/4 Street, Hai Ba Trung Street, the central area, Lien Huong market, etc.). At the same time, propagate and mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to clean up the houses of each household.
In particular, the District People's Committee directed to concentrate forces and means to deal with locations and areas where littering occurs indiscriminately, causing environmental pollution, causing negative reactions and loss of environmental aesthetics. Strengthen inspection, promptly detect and strictly handle acts of littering and littering indiscriminately in the wrong places to deter, educate, raise awareness and responsibility of people in environmental sanitation work. Strengthen monitoring, urging, inspecting and supervising the implementation of environmental sanitation and waste collection by the People's Committees of communes and towns, heads of agencies, units, schools, hospitals, enterprises... Review, criticize and strictly handle the responsibilities of heads of agencies, units and localities if littering continues to recur, causing environmental pollution in the locality, especially during this peak period.
