Promote industrial infrastructure development
The existing Bau Bang Industrial Park (IP) has a total land area of over 2,000 hectares. With its advantages and strengths, this IP is an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors, of which about 1,000 hectares of land is for industrial development, the rest is service and urban land. The Prime Minister has approved the expansion of Bau Bang IP by an additional 1,000 hectares. With this expansion, the area of Bau Bang IP will be over 3,000 hectares. The expanded area is being invested in infrastructure construction, ready to welcome investors to the IP.
With its large scale, the expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park is expected to create a breakthrough in attracting foreign investors, especially large-scale manufacturing enterprises in the fields of electronics, precision mechanics, logistics and supporting industries. Following the province's orientation and the policy of shifting industrial development to the north, Bau Bang district has been creating a strong attraction for investors. This is also the locality approved to plan the industrial park area to increase 6.2 times compared to the current industrial park area. In addition to Bau Bang Industrial Park, Bau Bang expanded Industrial Park, Cay Truong Industrial Park, the district also has Tan Binh Industrial Park, Lai Hung Industrial Park which are also investing in infrastructure, ready to welcome investors.
According to the leaders of Bau Bang District People's Committee, the industrial parks in the area have been opening up great development opportunities for the locality. Thereby helping the locality develop industry, promote urban development, trade, services, bringing the industrial production value of the district to increase by an average of over 21% annually in recent years. The industrial parks in the district have synchronous and modern infrastructure, are conveniently located, adjacent to important traffic axes such as National Highway 13, My Phuoc - Tan Van power road, Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang power road... connecting smoothly to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Long An provinces, and the Central Highlands region. With that advantage, Bau Bang Industrial Park has created a strong attraction for investors. Many businesses continue to invest in new and more modern machinery lines; Expanding factories and businesses to increase productivity, such as KyungBang Vietnam Co., Ltd., Polytex Far Eastern Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), Ecco Vietnam Co., Ltd., Giant Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd....
Create more development opportunities
Bau Bang district is oriented to develop into a dynamic development area, becoming the innovation and industrial center in the north of Binh Duong. In the planning scheme, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that Bau Bang is a locality with rich internal resources, good leverage and can completely go further in the near future. In terms of the speed of completing connecting traffic infrastructure and attracting investment capital to industrial parks, it has brought outstanding results for the district to officially become a new industrial center.
Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion is located in Lai Uyen town, Cay Truong II commune, Bau Bang district and Long Tan commune, Dau Tieng district with an area of 1,000 hectares (of which over 892 hectares belong to Bau Bang district, nearly 108 hectares belong to Dau Tieng district). The project is invested by Becamex IDC Corporation with a total expected investment capital of 3,500 billion VND. |
Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC Corporation, said that the industrial parks invested by the corporation in general and the industrial parks in Bau Bang district in particular are being developed according to the new generation industrial park model. In addition to providing full service, technical and social infrastructure, the industrial parks are expanded in efficiency and sustainability through improving the management and operation model of the industrial park to best support investors. Stemming from the desire to build a new ecosystem - smart - ecological industrial park, from 2023 to present, Becamex has accompanied the World Bank to carry out a pre-feasibility study project on the opportunity to develop ecological industrial parks according to Decree No. 35/2022/ND-CP of the Government and according to the international ecological industrial park framework for Bau Bang, Bau Bang expansion, Cay Truong industrial parks, etc.
“The study of the development of eco-industrial parks in Binh Duong is expected to bring many benefits, including knowledge enrichment, foreign investment attraction and cost savings. By establishing internationally recognized eco-industrial parks, Binh Duong will not only gain valuable insights and performance monitoring, but also become an attractive destination for investors,” said Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan.
To effectively implement the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Binh Duong is continuing to invest in new and expand existing industrial parks but aiming for higher standards of science - technology and environmental protection. In particular, Binh Duong focuses on developing industry associated with urban - service areas to attract increasingly high-quality and effective investment projects. With the orientation of developing sustainable industrial parks according to the "3 in 1" model: industrial park - urban area - service area, Binh Duong continues to mobilize all resources to invest in building a synchronous and modern infrastructure system associated with industrial - service - urban development, contributing to creating a driving force to attract more quality investment projects from domestic and foreign economic sectors.
