TPO - Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, for the first time considered a combination of subjects including English, and the University of Natural Sciences added 10 combinations of subjects including History and Geography in the 2025 enrollment.

University of Natural Sciences adds 10 groups with History and Geography subjects

Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son, Principal of the University of Science - Vietnam National University , Hanoi , said that in 2025, the school will consider graduation exam scores based on 28 combinations, nearly three times higher than last year, of which 10 combinations include History and Geography.

The specific combinations are as follows:

In addition to the traditional combinations, in 2025, the University of Natural Sciences will add 18 new combinations with subjects such as History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, and Information Technology. Among them, there are notable combinations such as: A04 (Math, Geography, Physics), A06 (Math, Chemistry, Geography), A07 (Math, History, Geography), A09 (Math, Geography, Economic and Legal Education), C04 (Literature, Math, Geography) ...

The new combinations with History and Geography subjects are used for admission to the majors of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical Biology, Natural Geography, Geospatial Information Science, Land Management, Urban Development and Real Estate Management, and Environmental Science.

Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, for the first time considered a combination with English.

Information from the Training Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in 2025, for the first time, the D08 combination (Math, Biology, English) will be considered for admission to the fields of Medicine or Dentistry, in addition to B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology).

This year, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy will enroll 720 students for 6 majors. Of which, Medicine alone has 260 quotas, Pharmacy 220. The remaining quotas are 60 for each major (Dentistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Nursing).

Admission methods include: direct admission and priority admission, based on high school graduation exam results, university preparatory students, HSA competency assessment test results, English certificate and based on the specific mechanism of Hanoi National University.

For the high school graduation exam scores, the school uses 4 combinations: B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), D08 (Math, Biology, English), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English).

In which, the combination A00 and D07 applies to Pharmacy; B00 and D08 to the remaining 5 majors, including Medicine and Dentistry.

This is the first time the University of Medicine and Pharmacy has used two groups with English as a subject. Previously, the school only used A00 for Pharmacy and B00 for all other majors.

This group must also meet the academic transcript requirements as for direct admission, and the graduation exam score must meet the entrance threshold (floor score) set by the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University.

With the HSA assessment test score method, candidates' test must have Chemistry topic if applying to Pharmacy, Biology for the remaining majors.

If you have an IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate, it will be converted into an English score, then added to the graduation exam scores of the remaining two subjects in the combination: Math, Biology or Math, Chemistry.

Candidates should note that except for the high school graduation exam scores, other methods have conditions on academic records, similar to direct admission. At the same time, students must meet the minimum score set by the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University.
