Over the years, the people of Thoi Thuan hamlet are no longer unfamiliar with the image of party members "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to propagate the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State. To them, members of the People's Committee of Thoi Thuan hamlet are like relatives because of the closeness in each contact. Mr. Tran Van Hau - Secretary of the Party Cell of Thoi Thuan hamlet shared: "People working in hamlets and villages are very close to the people, so we must understand their thoughts and aspirations. We regularly meet, inquire about their lives, promptly propagate and orient the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially the arrangement of administrative units and the implementation of the 2-level local government model to the people".

Thoi Thuan hamlet party cell has 46 party members. From the party cell meetings, the party members unanimously implemented the Government 's policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. "We reviewed the area and counted 6 cases that needed housing support. After a period of implementation, with the attention of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Thoi Son ward, all 6 cases had new, spacious houses, of which 1 household was supported by the program's capital, the remaining 5 cases were mobilized by the hamlet people's committee from social resources," Mr. Hau added.

Nearly 70 years old, Mrs. Ho Thu Ranl could not hide her joy when living in her new house. The prefabricated house, which cost about 30 million VND to build, although not luxurious, is a warm home for her. Mrs. Thu Ranl said: “I live alone thanks to the support of relatives, so I only have enough to eat every day. Before, I lived in a wooden house that leaked rain and was exposed to the sun for many years. At that time, my only wish was to have a roof to protect me from the sun and rain. Thanks to the uncles in the neighborhood who mobilized benefactors to build me a new house, I am very happy. From now on, I will no longer have to worry about housing for the rest of my life!”

Ms. Thu Ranl also said that the People's Committee of Thoi Thuan Hamlet regularly visited and created conditions for her to receive support gifts from benefactors. Therefore, she is always grateful for the locality's attention to difficult and needy circumstances like hers.

In the same difficult situation as Mrs. Thu Ranl, Ms. Huynh Thi Kieu also received support to build a new house. Until now, every time she mentions the new house, Ms. Kieu is still emotional: "My family is a near-poor household, life depends on small business so we can only make ends meet, let alone build a new house. When the People's Committee of the hamlet approved the support, I was extremely happy. If I can build this house in my lifetime, my children's future generations will have less hardship." It is known that the People's Committee of the hamlet also guided her to borrow capital from the State's preferential source to provide additional support, helping the house to be as spacious as it is today.

In addition to providing housing support for households in difficult circumstances, party members in Thoi Thuan hamlet also mobilized people to donate land to expand the residential road, making life more convenient for people. “We heard people's suggestions and went to each house to mobilize. Because we are close to the people, it is easy for us to grasp their thoughts. As party members, we must go first, then the country can follow,” said Mr. Tran Van Hau.

With practical contributions in implementing the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the locality, Thoi Thuan hamlet Party Cell was recognized by the People's Committee of Thoi Son ward as a typical example of this achievement, creating motivation for Party members in the cell to continue making efforts to care for people's lives, especially in the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

Comrade Nguyen Van Duong - Head of the Party Building Committee, Thoi Son Ward Party Committee commented: "The Party members of Thoi Thuan Hamlet Party Cell have performed their duties well by always being close to and listening to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, thereby promptly helping and supporting the people when needed. We will continue to promote this spirit in the Party Cells and affiliated Party Committees, so that each Party member always upholds the spirit of closeness and attachment to the People, and strives to build the heroic homeland of Thoi Son to develop more and more."
