The Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) announced that it has issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on Vinh Dien Pharmaceutical and Medical Products Co., Ltd. (Dan Phuong commune, Dan Phuong district, Hanoi) for the following violations:

Violation 1: Manufacturing health supplements: Bo Hoan Duong Plus (batch number: 02.2022, manufacturing date: 11.5.2022, expiry date: 10.5.2025); Apple Cider Vinegar Slim weight loss supplement (batch number 01.2022, manufacturing date 26.2.2022, expiry date 25.2.2025); Nio Slim weight loss supplement (no batch number, manufacturing date, or expiry date indicated on the label); Stony Kidney Tonic and Aphrodisiac supplement (batch number: 03.2022, manufacturing date 12.5.2022, expiry date 11.5.2025) without a certificate of food safety compliance meeting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

Violation 2: Producing the following health supplements: Apple Cider Vinegar Slim (batch number 01.2022, manufacturing date 26.2.2022, expiry date 25.2.2025); Nio Slim (no batch number, manufacturing date, or expiry date indicated on the label); and Stony (batch number 03.2022, manufacturing date 12.5.2022, expiry date 11.5.2025), which are subject to product declaration registration, without having the required product declaration registration certificate as stipulated by law.

Violation 3: Producing Kumiko Slim food without a food safety certificate for the facility.

Behavior 4: Inadequate specialized equipment to control temperature, humidity, ventilation, and other factors affecting food safety for each product type.

Violation 5: Violation of regulations regarding mandatory content on product labels for the health supplement product Bo Hoan Duong Plus (batch number 02.2022, manufacturing date 11.5.2022, expiry date 10.5.2025).

Offense 6: Using prohibited substances (sildenafil, sibutramine) in food production and processing.

Food products containing banned substances include:

Health supplement Bo Hoan Duong Plus (Batch number: 02.2022, Manufacturing date: 11.5.2022, Expiry date: 10.5.2025).

Stony product for kidney tonic and male enhancement (Batch number: 03.2022, Manufacturing date: 12.5.2022, Expiry date: 11.5.2025).

Apple cider vinegar slimming health supplement (Batch number 01.2022, Manufacturing date 26.2.2022, Expiry date 25.2.2025).

The total fines for the six violations mentioned above amount to over 11.086 billion VND.

In addition, the Food Safety Department also applied an additional penalty: suspending the production of health supplements for 11 months from March 1, 2024, for Vinh Dien Pharmaceutical and Medical Products Co., Ltd.

The right to use the registration certificate for the health supplement product Bo Hoan Duong Plus 22 months has been revoked.

The Vinh Dien Pharmaceutical and Medical Products Manufacturing Company Limited is required to recall, change the intended use, recycle, or destroy the infringing food products, specifically the health supplement products.
