A school unexpectedly increased its benchmark score after the announcement.

This school announced the benchmark scores on the morning of August 23, but in the evening of the same day, it issued a new announcement, increasing 0.75 points in 10 majors that recruit the C00 combination.

At nearly 6 p.m. on August 23, Hanoi Capital University unexpectedly announced the admission scores based on the high school graduation exam scores for candidates using the C00 combination to apply for 10 majors. The scores for these majors ranged from 25.41 to 28.13.

It is worth noting that earlier, at 9:00 a.m. the same day, the school announced the benchmark scores for these 10 majors at a range of 24.66-27.38. Thus, the new benchmark scores have increased by 0.75 compared to the old announcement.

Notably, in the morning announcement, the school only stated "regular university admission score in 2025" and this score is the equivalent conversion score between methods, completely not mentioning the admission combination. In the evening of the same day, the school suddenly announced the standard score specifically for candidates registering for admission using the C00 combination with an increase of 0.75.

According to Tri Thuc - Znews's investigation, in the announcement on the threshold to ensure input quality and equivalent conversion of admission scores between methods (announced on July 23), Hanoi Capital University stated that "For admission majors with combination C00, the remaining combinations (not C00) will be added 0.75 points on a 30-point scale".

The announcement about the extra points was announced by the school on July 23.

However, in the benchmark score announcement released on the morning of August 23, the school did not clearly mention the benchmark score for candidates registering for which combination. Therefore, when the school issued a new announcement, candidates commented that they were disappointed because the school was not transparent. However, the school did not respond to these comments.

Also due to the increase in benchmark scores, some students shared their disappointment because they thought they had passed, but turned out to have failed.
