One week, the Food Safety Department revoked the declaration of 31 types of functional foods.

A health food product announced by Glomed Pharmaceutical Company Limited (now Abbott Healthcare Vietnam Company Limited) in 2019 had its registration certificate revoked.

On May 13, the Food Safety Department issued 3 decisions to revoke the validity of the registration certificates of 4 health protection food products (a type of functional food). Specifically:

- Health protection food V-ImuC and health protection food V-liverC are announced by Viet Phat Investment, Trade and Consulting Joint Stock Company (No. 148B, Lane 1277 Giai Phong, Thinh Liet Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi ).

- Health protection food CINTINO 500 announced by Hypopharm Vietnam Joint Stock Company (LK13-07, Phu Luong New Urban Area, Phu La Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi).

- KD3 PRO health protection food spray announced by German Joint Venture Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (No. 7, Alley 23/20, Lane 23, Bo De Street, Bo De Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi).

Previously, on May 12, the Food Safety Department revoked the validity of the product declaration registration certificate for 18 health protection food products announced by Abbott Healthcare Vietnam Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Glomed Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.).

On May 9, the health protection food MuntiGold by DP Minh Hai Trading Company Limited (Hai Boi Village, Hai Boi Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi) announced that its product declaration registration certificate had been revoked.

On May 6, 8 health protection products also had their product declaration registration certificates revoked.

Among them, there is the product Ich Giap Vuong Gold announced by Akopha Phap Trading Company Limited (No. 11, Alley 45, Lane 68, Trieu Khuc Street, Tan Trieu Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi).

3 products: Vy & Tea herbal tea, Dao Hoa Ngoc and Smen announced by Ha Vy Trading Service One Member Co., Ltd. (No. 45, Group 1, National Highway 14, Son Hiep village, Tho Son commune, Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province).

Synteract Mom's Iron Up product is announced by Con Cung Joint Stock Company (101-103 Tran Quang Khai, Tan Dinh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City; now changed address to: 66 Nguyen Du, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

OB Sea Oyster product is announced by Grow Green AZ Company Limited (No. 8, Alley 78, Giap Bat Lane, Giap Bat Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi).

DHC Multi Vitamins product is announced by Belie Joint Stock Company (No. 81 Thai Thinh Street, Thinh Quang Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi; now changed address to: 1st Floor, No. 170 De La Thanh, O Cho Dua Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi).

Litho Calcium product is announced by Horen Vietnam Company Limited (No. 8, Lane 191 Pham Van Dong, Xuan Dinh Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi).

Regarding the reason for revoking these decisions, the Food Safety Department said that it was based on the voluntary request to withdraw and withdraw the dossier related to health protection food products of the registered units, "not related to product quality". There were companies that voluntarily requested to withdraw their dossiers in 2023 and 2024, but only now have the decision to withdraw.

The reason for this is that Decree 15/2018 currently does not have regulations on cases of revocation of product declaration registration certificates. Recently, the Food Safety Department requested the Ministry of Health's policy on this issue, so it issued the revocation decisions.

According to regulations, a health food product that wants to be produced and circulated must be granted a certificate of registration of product declaration by the Food Safety Department.
