A candidate requested to withdraw recognition for the title of associate professor in 2024.

The Chairman of the State Council of Educators has decided to recognize the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024 for 614 candidates, including 45 professors and 569 associate professors.

On the afternoon of November 21, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Chief of Office of the State Council of Professors, said that the Council had just recognized 614 candidates who met the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024 (1 candidate less than the list finalized 15 days earlier).

An associate professor of interdisciplinary Agriculture and Forestry submitted a withdrawal request for personal reasons and was accepted by the State Council of Professors.

This year, Economics and Medicine are the two majors with the highest number of candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor this year. Economics has 100 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024 (previously 104 candidates). Medicine has 71 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor (previously 72 candidates).

The interdisciplinary Council of Professors of Philosophy - Political Science - Sociology has the least number of qualified candidates for the titles of professor and associate professor this year, with 2 professors and 2 associate professors.
