MU raises Mbeumo transfer price, Brentford reacts

MU leaders have just sent a new offer worth more than £60 million to Brentford, hoping to close the transfer deal for Bryan Mbeumo this week.

Two weeks ago, the Manchester team offered Mbeumo £55 million, including add-ons, but Brentford refused.

Tottenham, under new coach Thomas Frank, also joined the race. However, the Cameroon striker preferred to join MU.

Therefore, the Red Devils showed their determination in pursuing Mbeumo when they just sent a second official offer, worth more than 60 million pounds.

Coach Ruben Amorim sees Bryan Mbeumo as the missing piece that can improve MU's attack, following the arrival of new signing Matheus Cunha.

Brentford chiefs are seriously considering a new bid as negotiations between the two clubs continue.

Mbeumo only has 1 year left on his contract with the Gtech team, so MU bosses hope to successfully recruit him when the whole team returns to training before the new season on July 7.

If Brentford still do not release the player, the Old Trafford team can turn to Nkunku, Semenyo or Eberechi Eze.
