Through the Vinh Long Province Friendship Organizations Union and the Asia Exchange Association (AEA/Korea), the volunteer student group of Myongji University (Korea) chose An Phuoc A Primary School (main location) as the place to exchange, discuss, introduce culture, and promote the image of Korea. Specifically, from July 14-18, the volunteer student group of Myongji University came to exchange, give gifts to students, and sponsor the cost of building a net roof for the school yard.
The Korean youth organized a variety of life skills education activities, art, music , science, and sports lessons that attracted a large number of students to participate. To have these 5 exciting and joyful days, the Korean students worked hard to prepare meticulously. With a bright smile, student Hong Seok Min shared: "We have prepared carefully for 2 months to participate in this volunteer trip.
This is my first time in Vietnam and Vinh Long. I love the weather, the food, the warmth and enthusiasm of the students and people here. Through this exchange and volunteer activity, I hope to contribute to further strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Korea."
On the last day of the exchange week, Korean students were busy preparing performances and small gifts for Vietnamese students. In response to that warm feeling, teachers and students also prepared performances with all the love and colors of the Vietnamese homeland. In a red shirt with a yellow star, Le Ngoc Hai Yen said: "Every day I get to participate in interesting lessons with Korean students. I performed 2 performances to give the Korean students more beautiful memories."
Excitedly watching the Korean students perform traditional cultural performances, Duong Khanh Vy said: “I am very happy to have been taught many interesting things by you and learned many good things. I will try to study well so that I will have the opportunity to meet you again in the future and discover more about Korean culture.”
The time participating in volunteer activities at the school for Mr. Ji Young Il - Manager of the Student Union of Myongji University was extremely fun and memorable, especially the image of the students who were really well-behaved, cute and adorable. "This time, I and 20 students of the school not only exchanged culture and learned the language but also learned a lot from the Vietnamese students. When returning to Korea, I believe that all of us will forever remember the beautiful memories here. Vietnam is a warm country, the people are full of affection." - Mr. Ji Young Il shared.
At the same time, teachers at An Phuoc A Primary School felt the enthusiasm, friendliness and harmony of the Korean students towards the students. Each activity was carefully prepared by the students to convey to the students in the best way.
