Unexpected storm, many houses in Hung Son commune had their roofs blown off and were damaged

ĐNO - After heavy rain and whirlwinds occurred on the morning of July 22, dozens of houses in Hung Son commune (Da Nang city) had their roofs blown off and were damaged.

On the afternoon of July 22, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuc Truong - Political Commissar of Ga Ry Border Guard Station (Da Nang City Border Guard Command) said that officers and soldiers of the unit had just deployed to overcome the consequences of the tornado that caused damage to many local houses.

Earlier, on the same morning, due to the impact of storm Wipha, heavy rain occurred in Hung Son commune. The rain accompanied by whirlwinds caused the roofs of 32 houses to be blown off, many houses were completely blown off.

In Atu 1 and H'juh villages (former Ch'Om commune), two houses were completely collapsed; many poultry and duck farms, militia posts, electric poles... were damaged and broken.

Immediately after the tornado occurred, Ga Ry Border Guard Station sent 25 officers and soldiers to the area to overcome the consequences. At the same time, they gave 5 gifts of necessities to support families that suffered heavy damage.
