The new Manchester United signing's salary is £35 million.

Manchester United have almost completed the signing of midfielder Ederson from Atalanta in the summer 2026 transfer window.

Ederson is set to join Manchester United.

According to The Times , the transfer fee for this deal is around £35 million plus an additional £3 million in add-ons. This is considered a reasonable price for a midfielder who is in the prime of his career at the age of 27.

Meanwhile, Tutto Mercato revealed that Ederson will sign a contract until 2030, with an option to extend for another season. The Brazilian midfielder is expected to receive a salary of around 5 million euros per year, equivalent to 83,000 pounds per week at Old Trafford.

Compared to MU's current salary levels, Ederson would only rank 16th on the list of the team's highest-paid players. He earns significantly less than Manuel Ugarte, who earns £120,000 per week, or Leny Yoro with £115,000 per week.

Ederson's salary is also slightly lower than that of Diogo Dalot, who currently earns around £85,000 per week.

Experts believe this is a sign that INEOS is controlling the wage bill more effectively in his new transfer strategy. Instead of spending heavily on older stars with huge salaries, MU now prioritizes players with good professional quality but reasonable wages.

If Manchester United complete the Ederson deal along with a few other new signings this summer, the total wage bill for new signings could even be lower than the amount the club paid Casemiro during his time with the team (£350,000 per week).
