Subaru Forester 2026 from 1.1 billion VND, waiting to come to Vietnam

At the GIIAS 2025 International Auto Show in Indonesia, Subaru launched the 2026 Forester, marking the first time this SUV model has been present in the Southeast Asian market.

Subaru has officially introduced the 6th generation Forester SUV at the Indonesia exhibition, marking the first time this SUV has appeared in Southeast Asia before arriving in neighboring markets, including Vietnam, by the end of 2025.

In the latest generation, the 2026 Subaru Forester model eliminates the old personality-rich design similar to the old BMW X1 with clear curves and a low nose. Instead, the car chooses a more masculine and modern boxy style.

Specifically, the new generation Forester 2026 carries a new design language according to the philosophy "Ready for Adventure", combining a strong appearance with high-class amenities. The monolithic headlights and grille create a wider feeling at the front of the car.

Meanwhile, the side and rear of the car are refined with sharp lines, connected taillights and a set of 19-inch wheels. The car has a total of 11 color options, including the new River Rock Pearl.

The Forester's interior is finished in premium materials such as Nappa leather or water-resistant fabric, depending on the version. The seats are designed in three dimensions to reduce vibration and noise.

The 2026 Subaru Forester's infotainment system includes a 12.3-inch central screen and an 11.6-inch digital dashboard, integrated with the Starlink system and Harman Kardon sound system.

Notably, the 2026 Forester is the first Subaru model to be equipped with the new generation EyeSight X driver assistance system, which combines a wide-angle camera, radar and stereo camera system to provide more effective braking and collision warning. It is also the first model in the world to be equipped with external airbags to minimize injuries to cyclists in the event of a collision.

In terms of operation, the new generation Forester has two engine options. The 1.8L turbocharged version produces 177 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, comes with a CVT automatic transmission and a full-time 4-wheel drive system (AWD) with X-MODE technology.

The remaining version is the Forester S:HEV hybrid, combining a 2.5L boxer engine with an 88 horsepower electric motor, for a total output of 184 horsepower and impressive fuel economy – an average of 18.8 km/l.

The chassis of the new Subaru Forester 2026 has also been refined to be 10% more rigid than the old one. The electronic power steering system borrowed from the WRX sports sedan promises to make the user's driving experience more impressive.

In the Indonesian market, the price of the Subaru Forester 2026 is listed from IDR 695,500,000 (equivalent to VND 1.1 billion). It is predicted that when it arrives in Vietnam, this model will have a significantly higher price than the old model imported from neighboring Thailand.
