Mui Ne was packed with tourists in the days leading up to National Day.

The number of visitors registering for holidays and recreation at Mui Ne National Tourist Area before National Day was overwhelming.

According to our reporter's observations , along the coastal roads of Huynh Thuc Khang and Nguyen Dinh Chieu in Mui Ne National Tourist Area this afternoon, August 31st, there was a large number of private vehicles traveling and parking in front of resorts during the National Day holiday. In the Hon Rom area (Mui Ne Ward), tour buses parked on both sides of Nguyen Co Thach road were also similarly numerous.

Mr. Ngo Tien Ninh, owner of the Golden Sail restaurant, said that on the evening of August 31st, the number of customers who had booked tables at his restaurant reached 1,100. Tomorrow, the peak day is expected to see around 1,500 diners, mainly domestic tourists, with some Chinese tourists brought in by travel companies from Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.

Mr. Tran Anh Thi, General Director of Seahorse Resort in Mui Ne National Tourist Area, reported that all rooms were sold out by September 2nd. This is a "transitional tourist season between peak and off-peak," so the number of domestic tourists is very high. Notably, while previously Russian and Eastern European tourists only visited Mui Ne in the winter, this year they are coming "off-season" in the summer as well, adding to the vibrancy of the area.

According to Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of the Binh Thuan Tourism Association, since August 16th, numerous events have been held along the old Binh Thuan coast, especially cultural, sports , and health-related activities organized by Nova World Phan Thiet (in Tien Thanh commune, Lam Dong province), attracting tens of thousands of visitors. This has contributed to a significant increase in the number of tourists along the old Binh Thuan coast before National Day. "Due to prior preparation, many resorts have launched discounted packages with various promotional products to show appreciation to guests at the end of summer," Mr. Khoa said.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, this summer Mui Ne has seen a significant increase in Russian and European tourists thanks to flights to Cam Ranh airport (6-7 flights/week).

In the area south of old Phan Thiet, there were also many tourists. However, Mr. Pham Quang Hau, CEO of Sonata Resort (Tien Thanh commune, old Phan Thiet city, now Tien Thanh ward, Lam Dong province), said that the peak tourist season was only from August 29th to September 2nd, after which guests checked out. During these days, almost all resorts in the Tien Thanh area or Nova World Phan Thiet were very crowded with tourists coming to enjoy their vacation.

Tourism expert Tran Anh Thi said that from October onwards, Mui Ne will be packed with Russian and Nordic tourists. The reason is that Russian tourists prefer windy coastal areas with sandy beaches. However, the sandy beaches in Mui Ne are gradually disappearing. "If we don't find a way to preserve the beautiful sandy beaches as they used to be, Russian tourists will go to other beaches, not Mui Ne," Mr. Thi predicted.
