If the US attacks Iran, Kuwait will intercept the missiles.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it had carried out a "self-defense strike" against Iranian radar and drone bases in the city of Goruk and on Qeshm Island.

In a social media post, CENTCOM stated that the U.S. is responding to "Iranian aggression," including the downing of an MQ1 drone in international waters, according to Al Jazeera on June 1.

The agency stated: "U.S. forces destroyed Iranian air defense systems, a ground control station, and two drones. These were targets that posed a direct threat to the maritime safety of ships in the region."

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Army General Staff said its air defense system "is responding to hostile missile and drone attacks."

Kuwait urgently intercepts missiles and UAVs.

The Kuwaiti Army General Staff announced on the morning of June 1st that its air defense forces were urgently intercepting a large-scale attack by hostile missiles and drones. This is the latest escalation in the US ally since the war with Iran broke out.

On its official X social media account, the Kuwaiti Army General Staff confirmed that its air defense system was intercepting intruding targets.

The agency noted that the loud, widespread explosions were the result of intercepting a dangerous flying object, and urged the public to strictly follow emergency safety instructions.

Currently, there are no official statistics on the origin of the attack, the extent of the damage, or casualties.

Kuwait is home to a key US military base, playing a crucial role in Washington's military operations in the Middle East.

In Israel, YNet news agency reported that air raid sirens had sounded in the Western Galilee region, as well as in the town of Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas.

Conversely, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had carried out a retaliatory airstrike on a US air base, the launch site of the attack on a telecommunications tower on Sirik Island in Hormozgan province, southern Iran.

This development occurred simultaneously with the activation of Kuwait's air defense system and widespread air raid sirens.

The Fars news agency quoted a statement from the IRGC saying: "Immediately after the US military attacked the communications tower on Sirik Island in Hormozgan province, the IRGC retaliated, hitting the US air base from which the troops were operating."

Earlier at the same time, air defense systems in Kuwait were simultaneously activated to intercept the flying object, accompanied by emergency sirens blaring across the country.

Kuwait has repeatedly become a target of attacks.

Since the regional conflict erupted, Kuwait has repeatedly had to fend off attacks from Iran. The Kuwaiti government accuses Tehran-backed militia groups of being the direct perpetrators of shelling its territory.

Earlier, tensions between the two sides also escalated to a peak after Kuwaiti authorities apprehended four members of the IRGC on an island off the coast of the country.

While Washington sought to gain an advantage at the negotiating table, Iranian leaders delivered a tough message. Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, asserted that his country would not approve any document unless the core interests of its people were fully guaranteed, emphasizing that the Tehran delegation "never believed American promises."

This statement came shortly after international media reported that Trump had just revealed a new draft peace framework with stringent terms. However, Trump asserted that the draft published by CNN was fake news.

On the social media platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump recently issued a new statement regarding the situation in Iran. He affirmed that the Tehran government "really wants to sign an agreement," and pledged that the future document, once approved, will "ensure maximum benefits for the United States and those who stand with us."

Also in the May 31st post, the White House leader sharply criticized domestic opposition critics, accusing them of making "negatively negative" statements about the current administration's response to the war.

"Just sit back and relax, everything will be alright in the end - it always is!", President Trump emphasized in an attempt to reassure the public.
