Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung stated that the key tasks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in 2026 are substantial, especially the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo . In this context, digital transformation is identified as a crucial step, playing both a strategic role and a key implementation solution.
Pointing out the limitations in data management, the Deputy Minister emphasized: "Despite efforts to digitize information on 62.2 million land parcels, only about 39.7% of the total number of parcels currently meet the criteria of 'accurate, complete, clean, and active' data."
Therefore, the urgent goal for 2026 is to complete the land database on a nationwide scale. At the same time, all other specialized data on agriculture and the environment also need to be integrated and updated synchronously on this land data platform.”

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung noted that digital transformation is not simply about uploading data to digital platforms, but must be integrated from the initial idea generation and planning stages to implementation. The goal is to find the most optimal solutions for seamless updating and connectivity throughout a comprehensive digital system.
“This data repository serves not only the agriculture and environment sectors but also aims for cross-sectoral sharing. This digital resource must be practically applied to life and work, bringing the highest efficiency and maximum convenience to users.”
On the other hand, alongside digitalization, it is necessary to promote "greening" and improve data quality to create added value. Digital transformation and the application of science and technology must create positive changes, contributing to the successful completion of the political tasks set forth," the Deputy Minister requested.
The conference heard presentations from representatives of various agencies on the implementation of Decision No. 2439/QD-TTg dated November 4, 2025, of the Prime Minister on the National Data Architecture and Governance Framework, along with the Shared Data Dictionary (version 1.0). Other key topics included the orientation for national digital transformation in the coming period; solutions to improve the efficiency of online public services on the National Public Service Portal; and the operation of the Information System for resolving administrative procedures in the agriculture and environment sectors.
