Heavy rain in the South and Central regions

Some areas may experience heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, locally over 50mm. Heavy rain is likely to concentrate in the late afternoon and at night. It is forecasted that from the night of May 26, heavy rain in the Central region will gradually decrease.

The Southern region will also experience scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening of May 26. Some places may experience heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, some places over 50mm. During thunderstorms, people should be on guard against extreme weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. There is a risk of localized rain with high intensity of over 80mm/3 hours, which can cause flooding in low-lying areas.

At sea, the weather continues to deteriorate. The northern part of the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern part of the North East Sea have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 1-3m high.

During thunderstorms at sea, the risk of tornadoes, strong winds of level 6-7 and waves over 2m high are very noteworthy. Boats and fishermen should regularly update weather forecasts and limit going to sea in areas with rough seas.

It is forecasted that from the night of May 26 to May 27, wind intensity in the Northern Gulf of Tonkin and the northern sea area of the North East Sea will gradually decrease, and the sea weather situation will tend to be more stable.
