Da Nang Vocational College is a public school invested into a high-quality vocational school (under the City People's Committee), currently training 24 professions, including 7 high-quality, international standard professions.
Secondary school students who go to vocational school are exempted from 100% of tuition fees and are guaranteed 100% of jobs after graduation. The school enrolls students based on the selection process, with intermediate students graduating from secondary school or higher; college students graduating from high school or equivalent. According to the 2021-2023 streaming plan, Da Nang aims for 30% of secondary school students to study vocational training by 2025.
However, after 3 years of implementation, the actual rate is about 13%. This year, the number of secondary school students participating in vocational training is very low, about 1,000 candidates. One of the difficulties and limitations in career counseling and guidance is that many students do not fully understand the value of vocational training and do not fully understand career opportunities and the 9+ program (both cultural and vocational training).
