Since ancient times, throughout the history of East Asia in general, the Dragon has been a symbol of royalty, invincible strength, goodness, courage, sacredness... All stories, objects, and positions related to the Dragon are noble, good, and happy. The Dragon is believed to bring longevity, prosperity, warmth, and happiness to everyone. Clearly, the Dragon has had a great influence on the daily life as well as the culture of the Vietnamese people since the founding of the nation. The image of the Dragon is placed, carved, and engraved in an elaborate and solemn manner in cultural architecture, royal palaces, public places as well as solemn places of worship (ancestral altars, communal houses, pagodas, shrines, etc.)

About color: Golden Dragon, Green Dragon, Red Dragon, Black Dragon, “multi-TechniColor” Dragon (red belly, black back with green stripes, yellow flanks...) Vietnam prefers the Golden Dragon the most.

Although it has no wings, it is believed that the Dragon can fly as in the scenes and paintings of the Dragon flying between the sky and clouds. Sometimes, the Dragon is also painted with wings (“Phi Long”). This is a sacred image that we often see fairies, angels… also have wings.

Dragon in Feng Shui: Dragon symbolizes power and dominance (male) arranged, drawn together with Phoenix symbolizing the nobility of character, the elegance of education also has a wild, proud appearance (female). The image of Dragon-Phoenix (Dragon-Phoenix duet) is an expression of perfect combination, prosperity and longevity that everyone aspires for. The Dragon image is also drawn (or carved) into two (Dragons) facing two different directions symbolizing longevity and following the law of yin-yang (?)

The Dragon also plays a part in the study of the good and bad directions (locations) of houses and land that affect the fate of people living in (or around) a certain house or plot of land.
