On April 9, An Phuoc Commune Police (Mang Thit District, Vinh Long Province) said that they, together with local authorities, had returned more than 18 million VND and personal documents to Ms. Vo Ngoc Diem (born in 1976, residing in Cai Nhum Town, Mang Thit District).

This is the amount of money that Ms. Diem and her husband dropped while on the way to buy eel seeds to raise. Ms. Diem burst into tears when the An Phuoc Commune Police called to inform them that someone had picked up the money and documents. Ms. Diem had just lost her job and this was a large sum of money for her family.
Mr. Le Tuong Vi (born in 1981, residing in An Phuoc commune), a construction worker, said: on the afternoon of April 8, he picked up a wallet on his way home from work. After checking it, he discovered that there was money and documents inside, so he quickly brought it to the An Phuoc commune police station to hand it over, asking them to find the person who dropped it so he could return it.
An Phuoc Commune Police quickly verified and contacted the person who dropped it, Ms. Diem, and invited her to come to the headquarters to receive it.
