On September 16th, at Bao Dinh River, Long An Ward, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police organized a drill and intensive training on swimming, diving, search and rescue.

The Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Police Department organized a drill and intensive training in swimming, diving, search and rescue at Bao Dinh River, Long An Ward.

The main practical exercises include: rescuing victims and handling dangerous situations underwater; first aid for drowning victims; applying rescue and recovery tactics in case of drowning accidents in rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, wells, deep water pits, or waterway traffic accidents; and practicing diving to search for evidence and victims.

The leader of the Firefighting and Rescue Team, Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department, instructed the forces participating in the drill.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Son, Team Leader of the Firefighting and Rescue Team, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police, said: “We have appropriate training exercises to help our underwater search and rescue forces perform their duties smoothly and achieve high results. Based on that, we will regularly review those with the skills and aptitude to select them for swimming and diving rescue missions.”

The forces practiced rescuing people from drowning.

Given the unique topography of Tay Ninh province, with its numerous rivers, streams, canals, and ditches, training and honing skills in swimming, diving, and search and rescue plays a crucial role.

This provides a foundation for rescue forces to master the necessary skills, be ready to respond to any emergency situation promptly, accurately, and safely, and contribute to protecting the lives and property of the people in the area.
