Introducing the development of VNA, General Director Vu Viet Trang said: VNA was officially established on September 15, 1945. The Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (September 2) was broadcast by VNA in three languages: Vietnamese, English, and French, which shows that French is one of the first two languages in VNA's external information.
Currently, VNA has provided foreign information in 10 languages; of which French remains one of the core languages of VNA's foreign information. Currently, VNA has about 50 reporters and editors using French in their professional work at the Le Courrier du Vietnam newspaper, the Foreign Affairs News Editorial Board, the World News Editorial Board, Vietnam Pictorial and VNA's resident offices in French-speaking countries.
In recent times, the Government of the French-speaking Community of Belgium and the Walloon Region has implemented many cooperation projects with Vietnam in various fields, bringing practical results to Vietnamese ministries and sectors, especially in the field of human resource training. VNA is also a beneficiary of the very effective cooperation between the two sides. In particular, the Government of the French-speaking Community of Belgium and the Walloon Region has coordinated with VNA to implement the project "Improving French language and journalism skills for VNA's Francophone journalists". This is a project within the framework of cooperation between the Standing Joint Commission between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of Walloon-Bruxelles.

VNA's French reporters and editors have been interned at three prestigious press agencies in Belgium. The training programs taught directly in Vietnam by experienced Belgian lecturers are also very close to the training needs of VNA, serving the development strategy of VNA in the current period, which is to develop digital technology media products.
Mr. Nicolas Dervaux thanked the General Director of VNA for his welcome and affirmed that the cooperative relationship between the Wallonie-Bruxelles Government - Vietnam in general, the diplomatic agency of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Government in particular and VNA will continue to develop, because this is a relationship based on trust, sustainability and efficiency. The Wallonie-Bruxelles Government highly appreciates the cooperative relationship with VNA and affirms that this is its important partner; at the same time, it focuses on the quality and effectiveness of the cooperative relationship, as well as cooperation projects...
