Wednesday's NATO meeting was held at the request of Ukraine, which sent Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk and Deputy Interior Minister Oleksii Serhieiev to the video conference with NATO allies.
Russia has stepped up its attacks since the beginning of the year, targeting Ukraine’s two largest cities, Kiev and Kharkiv, earlier this month in a new wave of intense airstrikes.
