CMC aims to become a global technology corporation by 2028

The Board of Directors of CMC Technology Group affirms the long-term strategy that by 2028, CMC will become a digital transformation and AI transformation group with a global position.

On July 29, in Hanoi , the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of CMC Technology Group Joint Stock Company approved the 2025 fiscal year plan (April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026).

CMC targets revenue of nearly VND10,000 billion, up 20%; pre-tax profit of VND550 billion; EBITDA (profit before deducting interest expenses, taxes, and depreciation of tangible and intangible assets) is estimated at VND1,200 billion, up 22% over the same period.

CMC's Board of Directors affirms the long-term strategy that by 2028, CMC will become a globally recognized digital transformation and AI transformation corporation.

CMC has identified fiscal year 2024 as an important transition period, when the company begins to reap the benefits of its multi-year foundational investment. According to the report, total revenue will reach VND8,203 billion, EBITDA will reach nearly VND1,000 billion and pre-tax profit will reach VND502 billion.

CMC has simultaneously deployed a two-pillar strategy: AI transformation (AI-X) and global market expansion (Go Global). The AI-X strategy was announced at the beginning of 2024 in Vietnam, Japan and the Davos World Economic Forum, in the context that many businesses are still exploring this new technology trend.

Deploying technology and infrastructure in a national direction

One of the highlights of CMC is that the cloud computing platform developed by CMC Telecom (CMC Cloud) was assigned by the Government to carry out a National Task. Tan Thuan Data Center (HCMC) is the first center in Vietnam to achieve Level 4 in information security - the highest level according to the assessment of the Ministry of Information and Communications (formerly) in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense, and at the same time, it meets the full set of international standards Uptime Tier III.

In early June 2025, CMC started construction of the CCS Hanoi Innovation Space Complex, which is expected to house 5,000 AI engineers and be the “digital heart” of the AI-X strategy. At the end of June 2025, the Government approved CMC to invest in a Hyperscale Data Center worth more than 250 million USD in Ho Chi Minh City.

Global expansion and domestic resource development

Not only focusing on the domestic market, CMC continues to promote globalization activities. In 2024, the company will open two more offices in Japan and Korea, and at the same time convert its model from selling on-demand services to operating under the "mega account" model - serving large multinational customers.

Joining the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations (Keidanren) is also considered a strategic step, helping Vietnamese enterprises gradually improve governance standards and international competitiveness.

Core technologies developed by CMC’s Research & Development (R&D) department have begun to be applied to practical problems in many ministries, banks and large enterprises. In the field of training, CMC’s university with nearly 2,000 students is training the first generation of AI engineers according to the “comprehensive application” standard: learning with AI, teaching with AI and working with AI.

In fiscal year 2025, with the message “AI-X: Connecting intelligence, creating the future”, CMC aims to continue expanding the C.OpenAI ecosystem. Not only developing technology, the Group aims to build a space connecting partners, customers, researchers, and technology talents to pursue the aspiration for a digital Vietnam with identity and a digital future with depth.
