Attending the meeting were Major General Sovanara, Head of the Military Attaché Office, Royal Cambodian Army in Vietnam; representatives of leaders and commanders of agencies and units in the Academy, along with all officers and more than 200 Cambodian students studying at the Military Medical Academy.
The Military Medical Academy is a major training and scientific research center in the medical field in the military field. The Academy has been assigned by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of National Defense to train international students, including students of the Royal Cambodian Army. From 1964 to present, the Academy has trained more than 600 medical and pharmaceutical officers at all levels for the Royal Cambodian Army. The number of Cambodian students studying at the Academy has increased every year. Cambodian students trained at the Military Medical Academy, after returning home, have made good use of the knowledge they have learned, contributing to the development of the military medical industry and the country's construction.
The Military Medical Academy has also supported the Royal Military Medical Academy of Cambodia with many textbooks, documents, equipment, models, and teaching aids for teaching basic medical subjects (anatomy, physiology, embryology, etc.); sent experts to help edit training content and programs, strengthen teaching materials, topics, and manage training, etc.
On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Military Medical Academy, Major General Pham Duc Tiep presented flowers and sent his best wishes to the officers and all Cambodian students studying at the Military Medical Academy. The Deputy Director expressed his joy at the achievements that the people and the Royal Cambodian Army have achieved in the cause of building and defending the country. He wished the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship to be forever green and sustainable; congratulated the learning and training results of the Cambodian students in the past time, and believed that in the coming time, the Cambodian students will continue to promote their achievements to successfully complete their assigned tasks.
On this occasion, the Deputy Director of the Military Medical Academy requested Cambodian students to continue to grasp, concretize and effectively implement the Academy's training goals and requirements, take advantage of time, focus on studying, improve professional knowledge and ethics to become useful doctors for the Cambodian army and people.
At the same time, during the learning process, it is necessary to focus on training, improving the capacity and working style; consciously complying with Vietnamese laws, regulations and rules; taking care to build and promote the spirit of solidarity in the unit and other students; doing a good job of propaganda on strengthening the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability between the Party, State and people of Vietnam and Cambodia to develop more and more.
