TPO - Russia has developed a new anti-drone system capable of detecting and intercepting UAVs in various ways.
According to RIA Novosti news agency on February 26, Vladislav Kustarev, development director of Stupor LLC, stated that Russia has created a comprehensive system to protect targets from drones. The system, called Stupor, is also capable of detecting and intercepting drones in multiple ways simultaneously.
According to Vladislav Kustarev, the developers of Stupor use proprietary software that combines devices operating on different principles into a single system, resulting in higher reliability and a reduction in false alarms.
The Stupor development director added that AI technology allows the system to operate without human intervention. The collected data and information can be downloaded directly to a phone. Furthermore, the Stupor system can integrate detection and countermeasures from other manufacturers.
Given the frequent drone attacks on Russian infrastructure and military facilities , the Stupor anti-drone system is considered an effective solution, potentially replacing traditional air defense systems.
According to data provided by the developer, the Stupor system is said to be able to detect targets at a distance of more than 5 km and intercept them within a radius of 2 km.
