The Nui Do bridge project under package 14-XL of the Mai Son - QL45 expressway project was inaugurated and put into operation today (April 29).
The project is undertaken by the joint venture of Vinaconex - Trung Nam E&C, starting construction from March 30, 2021.
The bridge is over 1,600m long, spanning the Chu River in Thieu Hoa district ( Thanh Hoa ), and is the longest bridge on the Mai Son - National Highway 45 route.
The bridge is designed with 36 Super T girder spans and 3 cantilever spans. According to the design, the main bridge girder uses continuous prestressed reinforced concrete girder constructed by balanced cantilever method. For the approach bridge girder, prestressed reinforced concrete Super T girder is used, L=38.2m, girder height H=1.75m.
Nui Do Bridge has a cross-section of 23.5m, has 4 lanes and a median strip and a safety strip. With a design that includes a mixed lane for people, Nui Do Bridge has helped people on both sides of the bridge travel more safely and conveniently, without worrying about traffic safety when traveling by ferry at the time before the bridge was built.
After about 24 months of construction by the joint venture of contractors Vianconex - Trung Nam E&C, Nui Do bridge has been put into synchronous operation on the Mai Son - National Highway 45.
