The product categories with the best growth were household goods, fresh food, and groceries… Especially during the recent National Day holiday, purchasing power at the supermarket increased by 30-50% compared to normal days, with some product categories increasing by 70-100%. From now until the end of the year, we will continuously apply demand-stimulating policies and promotions to attract customers during the busiest business season, ensuring a growth rate of 5-10% compared to 2024.”

Currently, Co.opmart Ha Tinh is implementing the "Proud to be a Vietnamese Supermarket" program to honor Vietnamese products and stimulate customer shopping. According to the Ha Tinh Department of Industry and Trade, retail activities in the province are showing very positive signs. It is estimated that in the first eight months of 2025, total retail sales of goods reached VND 51,492.5 billion, an increase of 117.18% compared to August 2024 and a 12.57% increase compared to the same period last year. Some product categories showed impressive growth, such as: household goods (up nearly 30% year-on-year); food and beverages (up 16%); cultural and educational items (up 18.15%)... In August alone, groups with high growth rates included: household goods (60% year-on-year); clothing (up 17.5%); food and beverages (up 15.4%), gemstones and metals (up 45.5%)...

These positive signals will be the driving force for the retail industry to enter its "golden season". In addition to seasonal factors such as wedding season, festivals, and Lunar New Year, the thorough preparation and proactive business planning of enterprises are expected to create a boom in consumer trends starting from September 2025.

At the same time, we advised on organizing promotional and trade activities; organizing fairs, promotions, connecting supply and demand, bringing Ha Tinh products into supermarkets, distribution systems and e-commerce platforms; directing and guiding localities and businesses to build plans for stockpiling goods and stabilizing the market as required by the Provincial People's Committee; monitoring market prices, directing the Market Management Sub-department to coordinate with localities to strengthen market inspection and control, and strictly handling violations related to smuggling, trade fraud, product quality, origin, labeling, expiration dates, and acts of speculation and hoarding of goods in violation of regulations.” "At the same time, businesses are encouraged to organize focused promotional activities to stimulate consumer demand, price stabilization programs, and bring goods to serve rural and mountainous areas, especially those affected by natural disasters and floods."

In September, the Department of Industry and Trade will preside over the organization of the North Central Region Trade Fair with approximately 250 booths, and will also organize the Orange and Agricultural Products Festival at the end of the year to promote and introduce local specialties, foster supply-demand connections, expand consumer markets, and create new momentum for the retail sector.
