After one day of ticket sales, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) has sold more than 43,000 train tickets for the Lunar New Year of At Ty, meeting people's travel needs.

Accordingly, from 8:00 a.m. on October 6, VNR has officially opened ticket sales for all customers who need to buy Tet train tickets at railway stations, via the website, ticket sales hotline and applications on mobile devices.

To ensure that people can buy tickets easily, the Railway industry has planned to open sales earlier than every year and organize early communication so that people can get information. At the station, VNR has increased staff on duty, guiding passengers to get a queue number and declare information to buy tickets at the lobby.

For customers who buy tickets online, the number of tickets sold has increased sharply, without any network congestion. This year, the Railway industry has stopped the feature of "buying tickets and paying later". Accordingly, buyers have time to pay within 30 minutes after booking tickets. Each passenger can buy up to 10 outbound tickets and 10 return tickets.

According to statistics after 24 hours of opening for sale, more than 43,000 train tickets for the Lunar New Year of At Ty were sold, with revenue of nearly 77 billion VND. It can be seen that thanks to the innovations in booking and payment methods in this year's Tet ticket sales, passengers with real needs will be able to quickly access train tickets, minimizing the situation of virtual seat reservations and ticket speculation.

The train schedule for the Lunar New Year 2025 is expected to last from January 15 to February 16 (ie from December 16 to January 19 of the lunar calendar). During this time, there will be 22 pairs of trains operating each day, including 9 pairs of Thong Nhat trains (Saigon - Hanoi ) and 13 pairs of short-distance trains.

Currently, the Railway industry prioritizes selling tickets for long journeys. On some peak days from December 25-27, the number of tickets is almost sold out./.
