The health sector implements its tasks for 2025.

In 2024, the provincial health sector focused on implementing comprehensive solutions and completing assigned goals and tasks. Preventive health care was well-executed, controlling infectious diseases. The quality of medical examination and treatment at health facilities has been continuously improved. The replacement fertility rate of 2.16 children per woman was maintained; malnutrition among children under 5 years old decreased to 12%; the ratio of doctors per 10,000 people reached 10.8; 96.5% of health stations had doctors; and 98.4% of communes and wards met national criteria for health care…

In 2025, the health sector will continue to focus on solutions to fulfill the tasks of protecting, caring for, and improving the health of the people, and population work in the new situation. The main task is to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for promulgation several important resolutions to create conditions for development and strengthen the capacity of the health system, especially primary healthcare and preventive medicine. Implement improvements in hospital quality and preventive medicine according to the criteria of the Ministry of Health . Promote the Satellite Hospital Project, the Telemedicine Project, Project 1816, digital transformation, and improve the quality of services to meet the increasingly high demand for medical examination and treatment from the people. Strive to achieve 100% of communes and wards meeting national criteria for health; achieve 32 hospital beds per 10,000 people; have 11 doctors per 10,000 people; 100% of commune health stations have doctors working; and reduce the rate of malnutrition among children under 5 years old to 11.5%. Maintain the replacement fertility rate at 2-2.2 children per woman.

On this occasion, the Department of Health awarded certificates of commendation to 39 collectives and 188 individuals who had achieved outstanding results in performing their duties and professional work in 2024.
