Every day, while many others are still asleep, the miners begin their shift at the mine. They go to the mine for breakfast, receive their assignments, get their protective clothing, helmets, lamps, and self-rescue devices before descending into the mine to start a new day. Therefore, going to the Ha Lam mine at dawn with the miners on their first shift is a truly unforgettable experience.
Every day at 5 a.m., the miners' mess hall is bustling with activity. The miners orderly take their food. There are about 40 dishes to choose from according to their needs. The meals are guaranteed to be hot, clean, and nutritious. Workers hurriedly ate breakfast, getting ready to start their shift on time. Earlier, the Life Support Workshop staff had to arrive earlier to prepare meals, which required hundreds of servings. Cooking and serving breakfast to the miners might seem like a simple task, but it needs to be organized in an assembly line, with everyone assigned to their specific role, much like the coal production process. After breakfast and changing into protective clothing, workers in the workshops have about 15 minutes for the shift handover. Miners are lowered down the vertical shaft at the +75 level. There are two cabins, each capable of holding approximately 15 miners. All operations inside the furnace are monitored from the Production Control Center via a camera system. Miners move along the tunnels to reach the production area.
