Some businesses will finalize the dividend payment date for shareholders in the first week after the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.

From tomorrow (February 3, the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), the stock market will resume trading after the Lunar New Year 2025. Right after this long holiday, some businesses will close the right to pay cash dividends to shareholders. This means that investors will receive "lucky money" at the beginning of the year.

For example, Dinh Vu Port Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (stock code DVP) will close the shareholder list to pay 2024 cash dividends on February 10. The payout ratio is 30%, equivalent to shareholders owning 1 share will receive 3,000 VND. With 40 million shares currently circulating on the market, Dinh Vu Port is estimated to spend about 120 billion VND for this dividend payment. Of which, there are two major shareholders, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company (stock code PHP) is estimated to receive 61.2 billion VND in dividends thanks to owning 20.4 million DVP shares. Next is Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company owning 7.48 million shares, receiving 22.44 billion VND in dividends.

Similarly, shareholders of SAFI Transport Agency Joint Stock Company (stock code SFI) will close the list on February 4 to organize the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and make a cash advance in 2024 at a rate of 10% (equivalent to 1,000 VND per share). With nearly 25 million shares in circulation, the company will pay a dividend of nearly 25 billion VND this time.

Another company, Quang Ngai Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs Joint Stock Company (stock code APF), will close the shareholder list on February 5 to pay the first dividend of 2024 at a rate of 10% (1 share receives 1,000 VND). Thus, in total, the company will spend nearly 30 billion VND to distribute to shareholders this time.

Or Ha Dong Urban Environment Joint Stock Company (stock code MTH) also closed the shareholder list on February 7 to pay interim cash dividends for 2024 at a rate of 10% (1 share receives 1,000 VND). The number of outstanding shares of MTH is less than 4.8 million units, so the amount of dividend this time is less than 5 billion VND.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (stock code HCM) also closed the shareholder list on February 5 to pay interim cash dividends for 2024 at a rate of 5% (1 share receives 500 VND).
