Poetry Day in the homeland of Tam Nguyen Yen Do Nguyen Khuyen

Continuing to organize a series of cultural activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate the Spring of Giap Thin 2024 and celebrate Vietnam Poetry Day, on the morning of February 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Binh Luc district and the Provincial Literature and Arts Association jointly organized the Poetry Day program in the hometown of Tam Nguyen Yen Do Nguyen Khuyen with the theme "The country's harmony - Spring colors of Bui's garden" to commemorate the 115th anniversary of his death (February 15, 1909 - February 15, 2024).

Speaking at the 115th anniversary of the death of Poet Tam Nguyen Yen Do Nguyen Khuyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Xuan Duong reviewed the life and career of the poet and affirmed: 115 years have passed, but his poems and patriotic thoughts are still widely circulated, touching every Vietnamese soul. The cultural heritage he left behind is being cared for, protected, preserved, promoted and embellished by all levels, sectors and generations of local people. Today, right at the old place of Bui garden, Vietnam Poetry Day is held with the theme "The harmony of the country - Spring colors of Bui garden" as a tribute and continuation of the poets, so that the immortal poems and literature can spread forever, creating motivation and momentum, starting a new year filled with warm love, full of happiness.

He left behind famous works that glorify the nation's poetry and literature treasure. Continuing and promoting that artistic spirit, generations of artists in the province have researched and created valuable works, imbued with the breath of life, reflecting the socio-economic development of Ha Nam province, contributing to the development of the country's literature and arts. In particular, over the past 20 years of being organized, Vietnam Poetry Day has helped poetry lovers meet and connect with each other in a creative and warm space, spreading a beautiful cultural feature every time Tet comes and spring comes.

After the Poetry Flag-raising ceremony, there was an exchange on Vietnam Poetry Day in Nguyen Khuyen's hometown with poems "Nam Quoc Son Ha" (Ly Thuong Kiet), "Nguyen Tieu" (President Ho Chi Minh), "Ngay Xuan Giao Con" (Nguyen Khuyen). The program also included a spring writing ceremony, a spring poetry exchange, and a poetry release ceremony.

Within the framework of the Poetry Day Program in Nguyen Khuyen's hometown, there are also activities such as "Displaying the Spring Newspaper of Giap Thin and publications about Poet Nguyen Khuyen"; "Following the Tam Nguyen Steps" contest; experiencing the "Old Tet" space, the teacher giving calligraphy and folk games; booths displaying beautiful tourist photos, booths introducing typical products of the locality and the province.

And especially in the evening of the same day - from 7:30 pm is a special comprehensive art performance program, including good excerpts from the play "The Actress and Mr. Tam Nguyen" performed by artists of the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts.
