Accordingly, the province aims to complete procedures to start 3 resettlement areas early in Hoang Mai ward, Tan Chau commune, Hung Nguyen Nam commune and complete determining the locations of the remaining resettlement areas in October 2025.
Nghe An province has also just assigned functional agencies to survey 6 locations in 3 communes to make resettlement areas to serve the site clearance for the North-South high-speed railway project.
In which, Tan Chau commune has 2 locations in the 10 Ton field area (Song Tien hamlet) with a survey area of 1.66ha and 1.2ha. Duc Chau commune has 2 survey locations including a 3ha area in Xuan Khanh hamlet and a 1.45ha area in My Ly hamlet. Quynh Son commune has 2 survey locations in the Cao field area (hamlet 5, Quynh My) with an area of 1.78ha and the Phan Tram field area (hamlet 1 Quynh Lam) with an area of 1.1ha.
Nghe An province assigned relevant departments, branches, agencies and units to complete procedures on planning, compensation for site clearance, land, construction investment and other contents according to current law provisions; use for the right purpose, right resettlement subjects, not to let waste or loss occur.
Previously, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a plan to clear the land for the entire route passing through the area, clearly assigning responsibilities and roadmaps to each department, branch, and locality.
It is known that the North-South high-speed railway project passing through Nghe An province is expected to directly affect 38 residential areas, with about 2,150 households owning land. Of which, 1,942 households must be resettled. The expected land clearance area is about 519.2 hectares, with the estimated cost of site clearance of about 6,397 billion VND. To serve the resettlement arrangement, Nghe An plans to invest in about 30 resettlement areas, with a total area of more than 102 hectares, with a total investment of about 1,450 billion VND.
