Nghe An strengthens communication on Vietnam Health Insurance Day

On June 16, 2009, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 823/QD-TTg on taking July 1 every year as "Vietnam Health Insurance Day". Organizing Vietnam Health Insurance Day aims to propagate and disseminate health insurance policies and laws, mobilize people to actively participate in health insurance to achieve the goal of universal health insurance, ensure that all people are managed and cared for, and ensure the rights and interests of health insurance participants.

At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of those working in health insurance and medical examination and treatment facilities in improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and using the health insurance fund economically and effectively.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requests: The Department of Health and Social Insurance of the province coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to advise the Provincial People's Committee to organize propaganda and dissemination activities on health insurance in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW; Directive No. 38-CT/TW; Directive No. 25-CT/TW and Decision No. 546/QD-TTg.

Organize communication on the occasion of Vietnam Health Insurance Day, July 1; focusing on the period from June 24, 2025 to July 8, 2025 with forms suitable to local conditions such as rallies, seminars, posting news, articles, and reports on mass media; organize hanging of banners and streamers to propagate health insurance.

The People's Committee of Nghe An province assigned the Department of Health to direct medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to carry out propaganda and dissemination activities on health insurance in accordance with the actual situation at the medical examination and treatment facilities; continue to strictly implement the provisions of the law on health insurance, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment and the work of preventing and combating acts of waste, abuse, and profiteering of the health insurance fund, and use the health insurance fund economically and effectively.
