Doctor suspected of using invalid degree, examined 4,500 patients

(Dan Tri) - A doctor who used to work at a general clinic in Ca Mau is suspected of using an invalid degree and examining thousands of patients.

On October 12, according to a source from Dan Tri reporter, the authorities of Ca Mau province are clarifying the suspicion that doctor NXH (50 years old) used an invalid diploma to practice medicine at the SG Medical Ethics Clinic (Ho Thi Ky commune, Ca Mau province).

The Social Insurance of Ca Mau province has also sent a report to the relevant authorities informing them that Mr. H. used an invalid diploma to practice at the SG Medical Ethics Clinic.

According to the report, Ca Mau Provincial Social Insurance has requested the authorities to review the contract and arising medical examination and treatment costs of Mr. H..

The results showed that Mr. H. practiced medical examination and treatment from January 25 to May 11 and examined more than 4,500 patients with a total cost of over 1.3 billion VND.

Ca Mau Provincial Social Insurance has directed Thoi Binh Social Insurance to recover this amount.

According to the Social Insurance of Ca Mau province, before being discovered suspected of using invalid diplomas and certificates, Mr. H. had resigned from his job at the clinic.
