The Internal Political Security Department of the Can Tho City Police coordinated the organization of a program to donate gifts, provide medical examinations, and distribute medicine to the people of Thanh An commune.

The Internal Political Security Department of the Can Tho City Police, in coordination with relevant units, recently organized a program to provide medical examinations, distribute medicine, and give gifts to disadvantaged people and elderly people living alone in Thanh An commune. Many residents expressed their gratitude for the dedication of the officers and soldiers in assisting those with mobility difficulties and the elderly.

Ms. Truong Thi Doi, 75 years old, residing in Phung Quoi A hamlet, shared: “I suffer from high blood pressure and dizziness, so I made sure to come to the commune's People's Committee early in the morning. I was examined by a doctor, given medicine, and received rice, noodles, and other daily necessities. My family is in difficult circumstances, and my children all work far away. Receiving such valuable gifts makes me very happy.”

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang Phuc, Deputy Head of the Internal Political Security Department of the Can Tho City Police, this activity is not merely a social welfare program, but also an expression of affection, responsibility, and gratitude towards the people of Thanh An island commune who have always accompanied, trusted, and supported the police force in ensuring security and order, and building the movement of "All People Protecting National Security"...

With a spirit of responsibility and dedication, the Phu Loi Ward Police wrote a beautiful story in the process of issuing identity cards to citizens. Living in precarious circumstances, 86-year-old Mr. Hua Loi Nguyen (registered in Phu Loi Ward) and his son had previously wandered from place to place seeking employment. Lacking proper documentation, Mr. Nguyen's son faced numerous obstacles when looking for work. Knowing this special situation, the Phu Loi Ward Police coordinated and assisted in obtaining identity cards. Thanks to this, Mr. Nguyen's son was able to find stable employment, and Mr. Nguyen was also ensured his rights regarding healthcare and social security as stipulated by law.

Since April, the youth of the Can Tho City Police have carried out many meaningful activities. They have visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; participated in building and donating solidarity houses; supported students in difficult circumstances; implemented the "National Flag Road" and "Green Day - Action for the Environment" initiatives; launched campaigns to beautify the city, build bridges, and repair roads, helping people travel more easily… Youth union members from various units also maintain the "Saturday and Sunday for the People" model, promote digital transformation, provide mobile ID card issuance for vulnerable people, issue level 2 electronic identification for children, and uphold the spirit of working until the job is done, not just until the clock strikes the hour…

According to Captain Nguyen Tuan Ngo, Head of the Youth Committee of the Can Tho City Police, when directly going to the field, getting close to the people, disseminating legal information, assisting in resolving administrative procedures, and contributing to social welfare activities, youth union members not only fulfill their professional duties but also are challenged in a rich practical environment. Being trusted and loved by the people, officers and soldiers deeply understand the meaning of their professional responsibility, further fueling their enthusiasm for training and dedication…

Over the years, the "Compassionate Rest Stop" program has been maintained by the Traffic Police Department and several other departments of the Can Tho City Police during the Lunar New Year and other major holidays. The program is organized on National Highway 1 (at the foot of the Can Tho Bridge), providing free drinking water and food to people returning home for the holidays. In mid-February, the program distributed 5,000 bottles of mineral water, 2,000 meals, fans, and leaflets promoting legal awareness.

The image of soldiers thoughtfully assisting people amidst the bustling crowds has created truly beautiful impressions. Similarly, the "Meals of Compassion" program, organized by the Staff Department and cooked twice a month, has delivered thousands of meals to patients in hospitals, spreading feelings of love and compassion…

With their creative, practical, and responsible approaches, the compassionate journeys of the Can Tho City Police will continue, further affirming the style of courageous, humane police officers who are ready to serve the people…
