Implementing the policy of supporting housing land, production land, and clean water for poor ethnic minority households and poor households in particularly difficult villages and communes according to Decision No. 2085/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , in the period 2017 - 2020, Ngoc Hoi district has supported 179 households lacking housing land, 21 households lacking production land, 215 households lacking clean water, and 29 households in changing occupations.
Specifically, in implementing Project 1 of the National Target Program for socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021-2030, Phase I: From 2021-2025 (referred to as National Target Program 1719), from 2021 to the present, Ngoc Hoi district has supported and resolved housing land for 3 households, housing for 8 households, production land for 16 households, vocational retraining for 127 households, decentralized water supply for 158 households, and one centralized water supply project to serve the water needs of ethnic minorities in Dak Ang commune.
Ngoc Hoi District has 9,038 ethnic minority households. To date, 99.97% of households have residential land; 99.96% have production land; and the rate of ethnic minority households using hygienic domestic water has reached 97%. To achieve the goal of having 100% of ethnic minority households with residential land, production land, and access to hygienic domestic water by 2029, Ngoc Hoi District will continue to promote propaganda and mobilize the people to participate in the implementation of National Target Program 1719; implement procedures for supporting residential land, production land, and domestic water supply in accordance with regulations, creating consensus among the people, especially in ethnic minority areas.
